Total Safety for Construction Sites

Safe, Reliable & Economical Temporary Power Distribution Systems

Temporary electrical power distribution system in any construction site requires a special attention. A minor shock can be the shock of your life if it causes a serious burn or a fall.

Traditionally, the enclosures used for the system are sheet steel and some might agree for the use of a wooden board for the same. Just stop and have a look at some of these conventional installations, the picture will be clear. These are completely unsafe installations as the safety is compromised. Human lives are at stake. Every year Companies spend millions of rupees towards accident claims and insurance for casualties due to electrocutions.

If you are a general contractor, an operative builder, a sub – contractor, an event organiser or a project manager, working on a specific construction site, Safety and safe power are the important requirements for you. To enjoy a safe and reliable source for temporary power, you need to select a power distribution board which is completely insulated and shock proof and focus only on safety and which has a solid reputation in this field.

Hensel has a strong reputation in the Electrical industry and is the undisputed leader in Cable Junction boxes, Empty enclosures, cable glands, plug – sockets and its unique Modular Panels and Distribution systems.

After the success of modular panel enclosure systems, the company introduced a range of Assemblies for construction sites (ACS) in accordance with IEC 60439-4 for industries which were looking for a safety system for temporary power problems during maintenance. However the product became an instant hit with many builders, industries and infrastructure companies having projects in their hands and that were going under construction.

The Hensel – ACS is classified into three groups, viz, Cable drums, Solid Rubber and Polycarbonate.

Cable Drums: This ACS is made out of synthetic rubber and is suitable for normal welding loads up to 32A for single phase and three phases. Twenty different assemblies are available and are derived from four different sizes of Cable drums and are suitable for a maximum incomer of 5Cx 6sqmm cable of length 25metres. The outgoings are available via Insulated Industrial sockets fully protected with ELCB/MCBs. Degree of protection is IP44. These come with a sturdy and light weight handle due to which the assembly can be easily hand carried to any maintenance or project location.

Solid Rubber: They are made out of Hard Rubber or synthetic rubber. Seventeen customised assemblies are readily available and are made out of three different sizes
of  portable units. They are suitable for a maximum incomer of 63A, single phase and three phase as well. Degree of protection IP44 and IP67. Output is via Insulated Industrial plugs and sockets with the required MCB / ELCB protections. Comes with a sturdy handle for easy transportation. Trolley arrangements available on requests.

Polycarbonate ACS : This ACS system is the most commonly used system specially when the number of outgoing circuits and the incomer rating is more. The range varies from 16A upto 630A incomer and finds application almost in every construction project. The degree of protection is IP65. Most common ACS used in this range is a 63A FP Incomer and outgoings are 2nos of 32A three phase and 8nos of  16A single phase via the insulated plugs and sockets that are supplied along with the ACS.  There are 16 standard pre-wired combinations of the Polycarbonate ACS available as catalogue products.
