Yes, this should be a good proverb to think about when it comes to safe-guarding the citizens of our country. Especially after the unfortunate and ugly incident that took away India's daughter Nirbhaya, time has come to be prepared and ensure things such as these never happen.

One of the popular cities in the western part of India, to maintain law and order in the city and to prevent crime has started a great initiative and rightly termed as "Safe City" project. With the Support of Police Commissioner of this City & reputed Citizens ( Trustees), the Trust, running this initiative, has planned a CCTV Project (SAFE-CITY ) to install approx. 5000 CC Cameras through out in three phases( Five years Plan) - City-Borders , Rly.Station, Bus-stand, Diamond and Textile Markets, all residential areas, Main Roads, -Industrial area, sensitive areas and other Industrial Estates will be covered with effective City- Surveillance [Viewing+Storage in all Police Stations & all Zones DCPs ] Highly Scalable Technology along with comprehensive Command & control-Centre in (New wing) opp.CP office, 100% connectivity solution on Fibre as access media for all Locations, Optical/ High Speed Network, the latest upgradeable IP Video Management Software, Servers & Recording devices will be installed with the Rs.12/15 crores in first phase & with total estimated budget of Rs. 80/85 crores aprox. The State government will also contribute under PPP scheme.Together with mutual efforts by contributing precious ideas, time & money to boost this 'Dream Project' to its ultimate goal of giving Safe & Peaceful life to every citizen of this prestigious city.

The command and control centre developed at the police commissioner’s office which will monitor all movements recorded by 104 CCTV cameras installed in the first phase. The project is developed on public private partnership (PPP) basis by City Police and City's traffic education trust.

Hensel is proud to be associated in this welcome initiatives and have already supplied around 60 Mi Boxes and Plugs and Sockets in the first pilot project for mounting the Power supplies required for the CCTV camera and connecting the power supply to the command and control centre.
