Hensel, the market leader in the field of IP65 thermoplastic modern installation and distribution systems introduces ‘ Schlegel Elektrokontakt GmbH, Germany range of IP 65 Push Buttons, control units and pilot lights for electrical controls.

The products are used in all kinds of machines, particularly in machine tools, in instrument panels for lifts, ships and special purpose vehicles, in switch cabinets and control panels of swimming pools, large stores or office buildings – in other words, wherever a process shall be initiated by the push of a button!!

All Schlegel control unit series distinguish by their flexible functions, ergonomics and excellent quality on the one hand and by their independent design with high brand recognition on the other hand.

Schlegel Push buttons come with a highest degree of protection IP 65 and some types comply with IP 69k conforming to IEC EN 60529. Material of construction is thermoplastic (Polyamide 6 / Polyamide 12, partially reinforced). Terminals of the contact blocks are Tin plated Brass and the contact material is Nickel silver and is also available in gold plating on requests.

The actuators are housed in square or round insulating bodies of an attractive design, allowing side by side assembly and thus full key board arrangements. With the importance of an efficient component marking in mind, all Schlegel control units have been designed to accept a clear marking and offer a wide range of symbols and inscriptions.

The operating travel of the contact is approximately 6mm and the bouncing time is less than 9ms. The mechanical life is tested and conforms to 1 million operations.
