Control Panel made up of ENYMOD - Mi Modular Enclosures used in Truck Mounted Concrete Batching Mixing Plant

A batching plant is where the ingredients used to produce concrete are mixed before being transported to a construction site ready to be poured. A concrete batching plant is the ideal form of concrete machinery where a reliable supply and exact deployment of concrete is required.

These type of truck mounted concrete batching plant is becoming increasingly popular; consist of frameworks carrying batchers, conveyors, scales, control equipment, small silos and adapted to be transported from site to site.

One of the leading companies in India for the Truck Mounted Concrete Batching Mixing plant ascertained to use HENSEL Mi Modular Enclosures rated for IP 65 Degree of Ingress Protection. They needed their Control Panels to be safe and reliable so as to provide the supply of Power for long working life and minimal operating cost.

Control Panel made with the use of Hensel ENYMOD Mi Modular Enclosures, being true IP 65 was an ideal choice to protect the expensive components from dust & water.

Thanks to Hensel’s easy and quick fix assembly design features and easy access to one of their Panel Franchisee, known for their high quality offering and reliable solutions in consultation to Hensel.

What was needed was a modular approach, where a number of standard modules could be designed and then combined as necessary to fit exactly into the slot provided on the vehicle.

After carefully examining the available options, the engineers found that the ENYMOD Mi combinable enclosure system from Hensel would be the most suitable for this robust application. The solution also offered better safety & reliability as the Truck Mounted Concrete Batching Mixing plants are used at remote locations like Canal Works, High Volume bases, Culverts, Wind Turbine Foundation, etc.

Control panel is equipped with latest PLC & touch screen type HMI. This control system can store innumerable different mix design (recipes) with all past records.

The transparent doors allow the status of, for example, HMI to be seen without opening of the door.

The production data logging system, graphic overview of the plant & operation is provided in HMI; which eliminates the need of SCADA as all the production data logged inside the HMI can be transferred to a USB based removable storage device (USB Pen Drive) without stopping the plant.

Thanks to this versatile system enclosure which is ready in quick-fix mode and most importantly are manufactured from high-grade impact-resistant thermoplastic materials.

Innovation in EMC Shielding : Swiss Quality at its best!!!

The new cable gland – Progress Brass EMC easyCONNECT

Innovative contact spring for fast & easy installation

The Progress Brass EMC easyCONNECT says it all: the new cable gland from AGRO is unbeatably fast and easy to mount. This is made possible by an innovative contact spring which can be precisely positioned in no time at all. And thanks to strong, controllable clamping, it virtually guarantees a secure shielded tap connection every time. Hence the easyCONNECT contributes to trouble-free functioning of electronic systems without electromagnetic interference.

The new contact spring offers a number of advantages. To begin with, it is inserted into the bottom part by simply pressing its two wings together externally and thereby securing the shield before the pressure nut is tightened – incorrect mounting is practically impossible. The installer is spared the time-consuming tasks of cutting, widening or laying back the braided shield when installing the cable gland. This is because the contact spring optimally fits the thickness of the braided shield by virtue of its specially trimmed shape, which makes it suitable for use with any and all cable diameters. Another time-saving plus is that if disassembly is necessary – for example due to a defective component – fast and easy are again the key words. Not only does its innovative, material-friendly clamping technique ensure that the cable can be rotated, pushed and disassembled during mounting, but also the braided shield cannot be damaged or destroyed by snagging.

Large clamping area with a clearly defined limit stop

Despite its compact design, the new easyCONNECT has an extremely large clamping area with a clearly defined limit stop that enables precise positioning. Immediate installation feedback confirms that a good and secure shield contact has been achieved, whether for partially-stripped shielded cables or fully exposed cable shields. The engraved EMC lettering on the bottom part aids the installer in making the correct assignment and in checking the cable gland to avoid incorrect installation.

“The easyCONNECT is a genuine innovation in the area of EMC cable fittings,” points out Patrick Albisser, Product Manager at AGRO. “The feedback and results from the test market with the M20 size were very positive indeed. We are therefore confident that our new clamping method will firmly establish itself on the market.”

Diverse uses

The easyCONNECT has a variety of uses. Because it works in combination with all other components of the Progress series, the easyCONNECT can be used in a wide range of industrial-grade solutions. For example the two-part FPM seal sets for the high temperature range up to +200°C can be combined with a body base of high-grade steel. Superior sealing qualities and the corresponding IP 68/69k protection class make the cable gland ideal for applications in demanding environments.

The new easyCONNECT meets all of the technical prerequisites demanded of a professional EMC cable fitting and even exceeds EN 50262 compliance requirements. It is available in sizes M12 to M32 with both short and long threads and is delivered completely pre-assembled, ensuring that no individual parts go missing.

The Hensel T10 Cricket League : Match 2 - MasterMind Enymod Vs SkyBreaker Enysun

When the Sky breaks, it rains Sixes @ Kunnam

After the Flash lightning Enycase victory couple of weeks back, it was time for yet another interesting clash, the second in the Hensel T10 cricket league, between the Master minds and SkyBreakers.

The toss this time was in favor of the Master Mind Enymod team and Mr.Kamal, the Captain of the Masterminds took the advantage of batting first and put pressure on the opposition team, the Skybreakers Enysun, captained by none other than Mr.Muthu ( Accounts).

With the sun shining brightly, the Enysun teams sky broke from the very first over where Mr.kamal, the captain of the Masterminds, played a real Chris Gayle innings, went on a rampage on every bowler who came to bowl. Mr.Kamal hit a whopping sixteen rocket sixers out of the park along with a couple of boundaries. He was sensational and more or less  a man on a mission. The body language of the Skybreakers said it all and they could already anticipate the claws of defeat on them.

Mr.Mari ( production), who also scored some superb shots out of the park with 4 sixes on his belt and a single boundary along with Mr.Kamal dominated the score board of Masterminds with a total runs of 181 with the loss of just one wicket.

The Skybreaker Enysun team who started the chase looked lost in the sky right from the first over where Mr.Balamurugan ( Logistics) and Mr.Sathish ( Purchase) opened the innings for them. The opening duo started shakily and could add just 40 runs in the first 4 overs before Mr.Balamurugan decided to hit and get out . After this, it was just a formality for the Masterminds to go for the kill and bowl everyone out.

Mr.Sathish was left stranded on one side while all the other players came on the crease just to get the feel of the wicket and decided they get back some rest sitting next to the commentators.

It was a great match, although completely one-sided thanks to Gayle effect given by the captain of Enymod team. It was not a decision to be made on who was the game changer and the man of the moment in this match as the rampage will be seen for a very long time by the Skybreaker team players in their nightmares from now.

Finally, a great match lies ahead, a final between the equals, The Mastermind Enymod and The Flash Lightning Enycase Team and what a match that would be J

Come 18th June, the first anniversary of Hensel Head quarters at Sriperumbudur , both the teams will  clash and history will be made in the Hensel T10 Cricket league. Will it be the Skybreakers again or will it be the Materminds…. The Game is open !!!

Hensel T10 Premier League!!!

Lightning Struck the Fire Breathers at Kunnam !!

The Hensel T10 premier league kick started with two strong teams , the Fire breathing Enycon up against Flash Lightning Enycase for the first time at the Kunnam grounds.

The match started at scheduled time 3.00pm and the toss went in favour of the Flash Lightning Enycase team. Captaining the Enycase team, Mr.Prabhu rightly decided to bat first so as to put up a decent total.

Playing in front of the official crowd in pressure, the Enycase team, after a shaky start managed to score 73 runs with the loss of  5 wickets. Mr.Mani ( Production Dept) from the Enycase team top scored with 22 runs. Mr. Ezhilarasan, captain of the Firebreathers  team tried hard to restrict the score but with the great encouragement from the audience, the Enycase were hard to stop.

The Firebreathers succumbed to pressure and right from the moment they started chasing the 74runs, they looked in trouble. Mr.Deepan ( design dept) batted very boldly with a cameo innings of 20runs however it was Mr.Prabhu, the captain of the Flash Lightning Enycase team who proved why he was leading them. Prabhu had the best bowling figures and scalped 3 main wickets of the Enycon team and was rightly adjudged the Man of the Match. It was a great team effort from Enycase team with fine bowling and good fielding that dominated the first match of the Hensel T10 premier league.

The On field players had a very encouraging  audience who were cheering and supporting both the teams after every bowl was being bowled or being scored for runs. The Umpires Mr.Kamal from Stores and Mr.Moses did a fantastic job and the crowd respected and were impressed with every decision given by them.

The entertaining and very lively commentary was given by Mr.Saravana Priyan ( Sales), Mr.Ethiraj ( Design) and Mr.Arun ( Finance). Humour was at its best with these trio in the commentary box.

During the break, the crowd as well as the all the players were provided Chilled water and fruit juices to beat the heat. Overall, it was a very memorable first match and the audience was kept fully entertained with a great match.

Everyone now is looking forward for the next upcoming match where the Master Minds Enymod will clash with the Sky breakers Enysun!!

Enycase players proved that they are lightning flash when it comes to cricket!!

Destination Indonesia

Presentation in Cilegon

Initiated and organised by our active partners PT Prima Inti Elektrindo Raya and their dealer at Cilegon CV Karya Puji Lestri, Hensel executed the presentation on 5th of February 2011. The presentation was organised in Hotel Sari Kuring Indah in Cilegon, Indonesia.

Cilegon is the major coastal industrial city in Banten province, north of Java Island, Indonesia. The location selected was strategic for Hensel as Cilegon is a major industrial centre with big industries like PT Krakatau Steel which produces steel for Industrial ( Domestic & Foreign ) needs, PT Asahimas Chemicals, Bayer, Siemens etc.

The city is divided into 8 sub districts mainly Cibeber, Cilegon,Citangkil, Ciwandan, Gerogol, Jombang, Pulo Merak and Purwakarta.

Around 50 engineers attended the presentation and interacted with the hosts that included Mr.Subhendu Dey - Sr.Manager for India and who is also responsible for business in Indonesia, Mr. Budijanto Gunawan from PT Prima and our dealer from Cilegon. The detailed presentation was carried out by Mr.Subhendu and the overall interaction with the crowd was very encouraging. The audience was a mix of different segments as it included important personnels from PT Bayer, PT Siemens, PT Mitsubishi Chemicals, PT Chandra Asri, PT Loutan Osouka and ofcourse from the industrial major PT Krakatau Steel.

The presentation was focussed and included many activities especially a question and answer session where-in simple questions on the product and applications were asked to the audience and correct answers were rewarded by some nice give-aways.

In the lunch session, the "hammer test " activity on our Mi - enclosures ( polycarbonate box) was conducted. most of the audience liked the concept as there was a nice price of IDR 20,000 for the one who break the box with the hammer impact ( conditions apply ;)  Unfortunately, as always, everyone tried their best to make sure they break but in vain as the MI box was more tough than they thought.

The concluding part of the session was done by the technical head of Krakatau Steel who made a speech on behalf of the entire audience. He stated that all the participants including him were impressed with the product range and quality of Hensel products which they were not aware so far. He believed that the product is reliable as it suits their environment which is so saline and corrosive.

Overall the presentation was a good event for Hensel and especially for our partners PT Prima in Indonesia who already see a lot of opportunities opened up in Cilegon after this event.
